From Tbilisi to Yerevan — or the Other Way Around!

• Valid passport

  • Must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Armenia

Visa (if applicable)

• Citizens of many countries do not require a visa for Armenia

• Travelers who do require a visa must obtain it in advance or via Armenia’s e-visa system

• It is the traveler’s responsibility to check visa requirements for their nationality

Travel insurance

• Not mandatory, but strongly recommended

Proof of onward travel or accommodation

• Usually not required, but border officials may occasionally ask for:

  • Hotel booking confirmation

  • Tour voucher

  • Return or onward ticket

At the border, passengers will exit the vehicle and pass through passport control on both sides.

1. Georgia exit: Present your passport and receive an exit stamp.

2. Armenia entry: Passport (and visa if required) is checked and stamped.

3. Customs: Luggage may be briefly inspected.

The process usually takes 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and season. Your guide or driver will assist throughout the crossing.
