Excellent guided trip to learn about the food, wine and geography of Georgia.
Giga is an excellent guide. Charming and knowledgeable. We don’t normally drink wine in the morning, but why not?!
We spent a very enjoyable day with Giga visiting the vineyards of Kakheti, learning about how traditional Georgian wine is made in qvervi and tasting many varieties of wine and chacha.
We had a delicious lunch with many salads, soup, bread, rice, chicken and pork with an incredible view to the Caucasus mountains.
If you are visiting Georgia I would highly recommend having Giga as your guide.
This was a truly authentic and unforgettable experience! In just one day, we got to explore the local wine-making traditions, taste excellent wine, visit a beautiful monastery, and enjoy a delicious homemade lunch with a local family — it really felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. The highlight was definitely our guide: incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and full of interesting stories and insights. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Georgia!

Best Tour In Georgia
We had the absolute pleasure of exploring with Giga as our tour guide, and he truly made our trip unforgettable! From the moment we met him, Giga was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about every site we visited. Whether we were hiking through scenic landscapes, exploring ancient churches, or tasting local cuisine, Giga shared fascinating stories and fun facts that brought each location to life.
What we appreciated most was his passion—not just for history and culture, but for ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. He was patient with our endless photo stops, flexible with our itinerary, and even threw in a few surprise local spots we’d never have discovered on our own.

What a remarkable day we had on Giga’s tour. We grow grapes in Australia and are interested in wine – so the highlight for us was a visit to Giga’s home/winery, to learn about his embrace of ancient Georgian winemaking techniques, and to taste his excellent wine. But the whole day was wonderful. We learned a lot about Georgian history, we visited some important and beautiful historical sites, we met with another Georgian grape growing/wine making family and shared a fabulous home cooked meal in their garden. We didn’t feel like tourists; we felt like valued guests. It was a day we will never forget! Highly highly recommended.
Wine tour was a wonderful experience. Giga not only provided us with valuable information about wine making but also took us to amazing places such as his wine cellar and a local home where we had an amazing lunch with local people. I would definitely recommend this tour because it is unique experience and the wine is delicious!!!
