We begin with a walk through Kutaisi’s charming old town, visiting highlights like the Colchis Fountain, White Bridge, and the lively local bazaar. A ride on the Soviet-era cable car adds a nostalgic touch, while the vibrant market offers a real taste of Georgian life.
Next, we visit Bagrati Cathedral — one of Georgia’s most iconic landmarks. Standing proudly on a hill above Kutaisi, it offers panoramic views, peaceful surroundings, and a glimpse into the country’s medieval heritage. It’s a perfect spot to take in the atmosphere and capture the moment.
After that, we explore the abandoned sanatoriums of Tskaltubo, once a luxurious Soviet-era spa retreat. These eerie yet fascinating ruins feature grand halls, faded frescoes, and overgrown courtyards, telling a story of the past as nature slowly reclaims the structures.
We then venture into the Prometheus Cave, one of Georgia’s most breathtaking underground wonders. This vast cave system is illuminated with colorful lights, showcasing spectacular stalactites, stalagmites, and underground lakes. For an extra touch of magic, we can enjoy a boat ride through its crystal-clear waters.
Finally, we visit the Martvili Canyon, where emerald-green waters wind through dramatic rock formations. A peaceful boat ride allows us to glide through the canyon, surrounded by lush forests and cascading waterfalls. This tranquil setting provides the perfect ending to our adventure-filled day.
While it is possible to arrange this tour starting from Tbilisi, please note that not all of the landmarks mentioned can be included due to the distance and time limitations.
Even if we focus only on a short tour of Kutaisi, along with visits to Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyon, the full experience would take approximately 12 hours including travel time.

In case of heavy rain, the water level in Martvili Canyon often rises, and as a result, boat tours may be suspended for safety reasons. Visiting Prometheus Cave is still possible, as it is an indoor activity and not affected by the weather. However, please note that Martvili Canyon is not recommended during heavy rain due to slippery paths and limited visibility
